Motorcycle Instructor Course

Have you got what it takes to become a motorcycle instructor?

Firstly you would have to meet the DSA criteria. The Dsa (Driving Standards Agency) is the government executive that is responsible for riding and driving in the uk .

 

You must be over 21 years of age
You must have held a full British motorcycle licence (Category A) for a  period of not less than three years
You must be considered a ‘fit & proper’ person in respect of convictions  motoring or ...non-motoring

There are two types of qualified motorcycle instructor

CBT1 Qualified

DAS Qualified

 

Our training course will equip you with all the skills required to become a qualified instructor. Over the 7 day course which is theory and practical your own riding will be assessed and modular teaching skills introduced. You will be helped and guided by our professional highly qualified instructors throughout. The final two days of the course is held with the DSA at Cardington Bedfordshire at there training and testing facility.

On successful completion of the course you will be a qualified Instructor !

Standard Instructor course CBT1     7 days    £700.00

The DAS (Direct Access Scheme) Assessment 3 days 275.00

 

Course content:

CBT1

Riding assessment
CBT Introduction
Machine Introduction
Practical on-site training
Practical on-site riding
Practical on-road riding
Teaching skills and application
Cross check from ex DSA examiner
Final test with DSA

Maximum of 2 trainees to one instructor

Tuition on use of CG125’S as used by DSA for final test

 

 

The DAS (Direct Access Scheme) Assessment

To complete this course you must already hold your CBT1
3 day course completed at Cardington

Real world experience of training with a live DAS session
Final test with DSA
